# STAKING $LUKT

## Guide to Initiating Staking $LUKT

#### **Step 1: Selecting Your Staking Amount**

To begin, decide how many $LUKT tokens you wish to stake. You have two options:

* **Max Option:** Use this to stake all available $LUKT tokens in your wallet.
* **Specific Amount:** Enter the exact number of $LUKT tokens you want to stake.

#### **Step 2: Approving the Staking Transaction**

Next, you'll need to approve the staking transaction by clicking "Approve." This action, a blockchain transaction, incurs a gas fee because it authorizes the transfer of your tokens from your wallet to the Luckaton ecosystem.

#### **Step 3: Confirming the Staking on the Blockchain**

Then, confirm your intention to stake by clicking "Stake Now." This on-chain transaction also requires a gas fee, so ensure your wallet has sufficient ETH to cover this cost.

### **Reward Claiming Process**

Once your tokens are staked, you'll start earning rewards. These can be claimed at any time without incurring a network fee, as they are managed within the $LUKT staking dapp's off-chain ecosystem. For more details on this process, refer to the relevant section.

### **Commencing the Lock Period**

After confirming the staking transaction, your tokens (including any newly claimed rewards) will begin accruing APY immediately. Note that all staked tokens enter a **10-day lock period**, during which you cannot unstake them.

This structured approach ensures a seamless and informed staking experience within the Luckaton ecosystem, encouraging participation while highlighting the steps and considerations involved in the staking process.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.luckaton.com/staking-101/staking-usdlukt.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
